carla wong, peru
Hi, I need some help I going to take wedding pics, and the ceremony will be at the sunset time 5.30 pm to 6 pm in front to the beach.I want to know what kind of light will be perfect, I don't want to loose the faces with shadows or the red sky. What will be the light meter in atmosphere and with the lights?I use a Medium Format, (2) portable flash light.Sorry for my poor English, thank you.Carla Wong, Lima-Peru
bdp
Fill Flash if shooting into the sunset. Expose for the sky, then fill accordingly.

bob_osullivan
I might want to underexpose the sky a stop or so and fill from there. Depends. Also you may want to bring an amber gell to put over the flash to match the color of the ambient light. A warm toned sunset in the background with blue flash fill lighting can look false. russ_butner___portland__or
I'd underexpose the sunset by 1 stop, and use fill-flash to illuminate your subjects. Russ
