xiaosu_han
Hi! I recently bought a norita66 and LOVE the 80mm 2.0, the bokeh is just incredible! http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2281/2273275127_94e7f9f9ef.jpg now I'm desperately looking for a metered prism for that camera, but can't seem to find one.. does anyone have one for sale or knows where to get one? I wrote KEH.com since they have one in their ads but it does not say if metered or not! thanks for any hints!
greg jansen
The metered prism is big and bulky, and awkward to use. I had one and sold it, opting for the standard prism. The metered prism is a stop-down style. If I remeber correctly, you set the minimum aperature of the lens on the meter, Line up the arrow, then read the meter and transfer the reading to lens or shutter. It is quite slow. Also, you need a special shutter speed dial- one that extends higher. Usually doen't come with the meter. I too love the Norita. The 40mm is so wide it's great. The 80mm f2 has that bokah you were talking about, and the 160mm is great for portraits. With those three lenses you have such a wide variety and so many shooting possibilities. I know they made a 55mm and a 70 leaf shutter lens. Enjoy.
mediumformat
I also love my Norita 66 too. I have the 55 and the 80. The 55 is surprisingly good - it's slow at f4 but is quite sharp. Would love to have the 40. What I really like about the Norita is how easy it is to handhold slow shutter speeds - very light mirror movement, while the camera is solid and heavy. It's a real film gem. RJ
