Alex_Es
I am having a joint exhibition at the 21st Century Museum of Art, Kanazawa from March 18 to the 23rd. For those of you (most of you) who can't get there, the booklet that will be available at the exhibition is now online at http://www.viovio.com/photos/gallery/23858. If following up this link is a problem, just Google "Alex Shishin" and then scroll down to "Alex Shisin: Photos of Ordinary Strangeness, Gallery--Viovio!" The booklet is print on demand. I have no idea how well it will turn out. I have seen other examples of Viovio's printing and it is not bad--better than what I would have expected from print on demand publishing. I have to thank my fellow exhibitor, Rick Grassi, for putting this book together for me and also inviting me to this exhibit--and doing so much of the leg work to make it a success. Over half the shots in this exhibition were shot with Leicas and other rangefinders.
michael s.
Very good news, Alex. Congratulations ! The link worked well, by the way. (Also gracious of you to credit your fellow photographer.)
Alex_Es
Thanks Michael. I should have said that Rick is a painter. The show is two painters, Richard Grassi and Marvin Salzman and two photographers, Nori Ohara and myself.

aplumpton
Really nice work, I like especially the blurred motion shots and the guitarist on the bridge. Can you sell your photos at this museum and what format are they? Maybe you can feed back further info later to let us know what visitors to the expo might pay (although that is probably a function of your present CV, etc.). Is there any complementarity with the work of the other artists? Good luck.
Alex_Es
Thanks Arthur for the very positive feedback. We give away postcards advertising the expo. The only thing we can sell at the museum are the little print on demand booklets of our work. In know Rick and Nori will have booklets for sale. I do not know about Marvin Salzman. The booklets will go for about 800 yen or so. The artists can give later feedback on what's for sale and how much.
pje
Congrats Alex. Your Ebisu Bridge photos remind me that I need to get my Harajuku street photos organized into an online gallery.

orvillerobertson
Alex, good luck with the exhibition. Really nice work. Loved the NYC rain shot with the bicycle and the guy running in from the left. I used to shoot in the rain but stopped when I had to replace the rusting top plate of my CLE many years ago. francois_gaboury
Very nice work. In "Christmas Eve, Rockefeller Center" the guy looked familiar, I took this one on Easter day last year. I guess, he likes to dress up for the holidays.
