sfcole
I've been updating my portfolio, and noticed that many of my photos seem washed-out and have less contrast compared to my files and printed photos. I don't remember this problem in the past. Has anyone noticed a change in the look of their photos?Do I need to change them and upload for proper presentation? It seems I'll have to go back and change the brightness and contrast for most of the photos. Is it me, or is this a real phenomena?thanks,Scott
aginbyte
Scott, if your images are larger than the default display dimension established by PN, they are resized and recompressed (with a hard JPG hit). Best thing is to size them appropriately yourself, apply the proper compression, and not take the hit from PN.
Former P.N Member
It sounds like you may be using AdobeRGB color space. Convert to sRGB before uploading to see if that corrects the problem.
joshroot
Richard brings up what is most often the cause of a post like yours Scott. Dennis brings up what is the 2nd most often the cause. Though it's pretty far back compared to the sRGB issue. I'd say you got some good answers from some helpful members.
sfcole
Thanks, I'll try using sRGB and see if that helps (I did use the recommended dimensions). I guess the reason I posted this topic is because I thought the look of my photos has changed. When I first posted them last year I remember them looking better.
