graskett Posted March 9, 2008 Share Posted March 9, 2008 I have the same problem. Just bought a Kingston 8GB CF from B & H to use with my 40D. The first time I used it the sames thing happened. It will not format period. I have 5 other CF cards, all Sandisk and all work perfectly. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
bryan_lardizabal Posted March 9, 2008 Share Posted March 9, 2008 Check the compatible cards listed in the owners manual....some off brand cards are in fact iffy and get mixed results. Stick with the big names such as Lexar or Sandisk...I have shot Nikon and Canon with these cards and never had a problem in either camera. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
