Where are the new Zeiss ZV hasselblad lenses

I saw them at a used camera show (Cosina, who makes some of the new Zeiss Ikon 35mm lenses, was showing them (I have no idea why they were at a used camera show, though)) in Tokyo last week. I don't know about where or when they'll be available. FWIW, the Cosina guy said that it was Zeiss, not Cosina, who was actually making them.

Just go directly to www.zeiss.de , click on English on the menu bar (top-right on the homepage), Under "Solutions" click "photography" follow the links and you will find everything. Contact them directly, as I do. They are very helpful, like Hasselblad in Sweden used to be.

Cheers, Kevin.

Yes , I agree , the ZEISS people are very friendly , but I got no answer, when these lenses will

be available and if they are sold directly through their online shop or through dealers only .

If you have better answers , so please go ahead and post them here .

I asked the Cosina personel at the camera fair and he said that they had just received the

lenses from CZ in time for the fair and that their engineers hadn't gone over them in

detail. Sounded like that the lenses shown were prototypes, though very impressive ones

indeed. A rumor was that CZ were getting them ready for distribution in 2009 so if that

were correct another year of waiting would suffice but, in my opinion, sometime later this

year would be much more likely. Here is the pic which someone posted (20080224):

The only thing about these lenses that is 'newish' is the barrel. And even that only bit.<br>So the delay propably is not because they still are prototypes, but because they want to know that there is a market for these things first, before they invest in producing them in quantity.
