Hello! i would like to mount my konica lens to my pentax body. i have a k1000

and a 57mm f1.4 that i would like to adapt to fit my pentax. i would remove the

apeture lever and grind the flange that is blocking the lens from locking into

place on the body, to make it shorter. any ideas or anyone who has done this?

it is a great lens, and i know that i would not be able to focus on infininy,

but would use it for macro. thanks!!!

If you have a Konica Hexanon 57/1.4, that's not a macro lens. I don't know what you would gain by trying to mount it on your Pentax K1000 other than destroying the lens and not being able to focus. The lens-to-film distance is shorter on the Konica than on the Pentax. If you must try this, and you're only going to use it for macro, why not get a cheap Pentax K extension tube and grind the lens side to fit the Konica?

You would be better off getting an adapter ring, or making one, to reverse the 57/1.4 Hexanon and attach it to one of your Pentax lenses. If you get an adapter ring which has a 58mm size on the front end and 55mm on the back you would screw it into the front of the Hexanon. Then you would get a second adapter with a 58mm size on the front end and 49mm on the back (if that's what your Pentax lens has). You then epoxy the two 58mm ends together and you have a custom made adapter. You would keep the Hexanon lens open to f/1.4 and use the aperture of the Pentax lens. By closing down to f/8 or f/11 you should get decent results.
