I would like for her to get the best IQ, and I am in doubt as to whether she'll get that from the C-lux 2 or D-lux 3? frederick_muller Posted February 17, 2008 Share Posted February 17, 2008 The C-Lux2 is an awesome point and shoot for the novice. Great lens, great quality, great shooting characteristics. Very difficult to take a bad picture. And for all the extra bucks over a Panasonic with the same box and almost identical features, you get the Leica logo to boot. I took the below with a D-Lux3. andy middleton Posted February 17, 2008 Share Posted February 17, 2008 I never used the CLux but did have the D Lux 3 ...Persoanlly I didn't like it to use...the images were great but I hated the ergonomics...sold it after a couple of months and bought a ricoh GRD...Much better handling camera although the noise levels are not as good as the D Lux, but I prefer it far more. I know the IQ is limited at high ISO with such a small camera; but the ability to have the camera with me makes the difference between getting the shot or not getting it. Unless she is a photographer or you will be using the camera yourself manually spending the extra money would be a waste for features that will never get used.
