Olympus ringflash pinout

Hello all,

I may just have been lucky on eBay today, I won an auction for a FS-FC1 flash

controller. Now, I don't own a ringflash unit, and the auction was for just the

controller. I want to try to build the strobe heads myself.

Does anybody know the pinout of the ringflash and twinflash units?

Apparently the units have six pinned connectors. I have done some thinking and

I think one pin is earth, one is positive, one trigger. There are some

modelling lights in these units so that's probably one extra pin as well. I

think the other two pins are to let the camera know if the flashunit connected

is a ringflash or one of the twinflash units.

Am I on the right track here? Does anybody have servicemanuals/ schematics for

these units?
