ettore_caruso1
I'm new to Polaroid and I would like to experiment with my camera. I've seen on the web (for ex. www.polanoid.net) images with colours with different and strong hue. Some blue, green, red, yellow, ecc... I know that hue could depend from ambient light and temperature of the film but I notice that in some pics this effect is very strong. Could it be a specific procedure on the pic? Post-production? What else??? Thank you for the help. Ettore.
zeno_felkl
I used to apply heat to the developing pic (spectra film) by a hairdryer. This made strong warm colors. To intensify cold tones I let the pictures develop in the refrigerator. The developing lasted very long then, but the blue was amazing some time. patrick j dempsey
Expired film sometimes gets uncontrollable color responses. In general though, most Polaroid color materials are more saturated than other films. If you get into a pack-film camera you will have a selection of different films with different color responses, including at least one from Fuji. With 600 and SX-70 cameras, you only get ONE film choice, which is basically the same film. On Polanoid, most people are kind enough to label the film used for their images, so this should give you some ideas of the emulsions to look for. ettore_caruso1
For the model of camera I have (not SX-70), I can use 600 film. I'll search for different types of film and I'll try with hairdryer/refrigerator. Waiting always for other suggestions!!! Thank you!
patrick j dempsey
Yeah Polaroid just has the one film for 600. There are variations of it which basically amount to different borders and different packaging.
