Personally, I think myspace is a waste of time for a photographer. The site is inefficient and hogs resources - my browser crashes on too many pages. A better strategy is to use myspace as a teaser to link to your own domain, and code your own personal website more efficiently than myspace does.

Lex, if you were shooting a lot of music, myspace would be a god-send. It's how I communicate with a lot of bands I work with, it's how I keep track of what's happening on any given night locally. I do a lot of networking through it, it's been terrific. It's also good for the fighting scene that I'm involved with, most of them are on myspace these days.

Yeh, myspace is great for networking. Good place for showing off ones music and videos. It's also a good way to waste time. I got tired of the place after a year because of the poorly designed profile pages bogged down with cutesy comments, animated GIFs, etc.
