bob_peters
I know this has been asked before but no harm in getting an update. With so much wedding photography samey and cliched, who do you think is really producing stunning images that stand out from the crowd? Who do you look to for that inspiration? What standard do you aspire to? My vote: Jeff Ascough.

david_schilling___chicago_
And, gone but not forgotten, Monte Zucker raised the bar for a generation of wedding photographers and remains a worthy standard to aspire to.

kimberly_smith___anchorage
Sabastiao Salgado. I haven't seen any of his wedding shots (did he ever shoot weddings?), but his ability to draw the viewer in to emotionally experience the situation is amazing. steve_c.5
I think Joe Buissink, Bambi Cantrell, and many others are fabulous. Also, this link is to a foreign site, but I think their photography is absolutely stunning. This is the sort of work I aspire to. They are masters of depth of field, composition, and color rendition. I think they are sometimes on this forum, as well. http://meninenuotrauka.lt/
jonj
Bambi Cantrell made me learn that Tmax 3200 is ideal for weddings and to "open those lenses as wide as you can"... Bambi is number one for me.

devoted
This guy (and his wife) are the ones to watch in terms of the up-and-coming. They have a fantastic use of light that I can only dream of being capable of seeing!
Ed Pingol

bill_clark___minnetonka_mi
I'm the best wedding photographer for the people who hire me. This attitude, without arrogance, shows for every client interview, every wedding and every post wedding meeting I have. I love life & I love the wedding business. Monte Zucker did train me and for those who were lucky and fortunate to meet and/or work with him, he had the same zest and love of lif
markonestudios
Aside from the (obvious?) greats - Jeff Ascough, Denis Reggie et al, I think we've got some greats-in-the-making right here on PN like Todd Laffler and Jay Philbrick :)

jaimie blue
Parker Pfister, Schilling I love him too! He lives where I do and his studio is about 2 minutes from my house.
david_schilling___chicago_
I recall Parker getting ready to make the move from his place out in the sticks in Ohio. Altho his images are stellar, to really appreciate his weddings you need to see him in action to experience his personality, quirkiness, and passion. His Photovision DVD of the Chicago wedding he covered really captures his style. I hope to get the opportunity to assist on one of his next visits to the midwest.
