wuyeah
Hello guys, I got my text roll & scan back with my Rolleiflex 2.8F Planar. The picture come out yellowish.....it was cloudy sky, out door situation. At out door, picture should be blue-ish isn't it. The film is Fuji Astia 100. Is it always like that? is it more suitable for B&W pictures?.....the camera is old, i wasn't expect the picture it came out looks old too. Thanks. ronald_moravec1
You either have bad film or got bad processing. There is nothing wrong with the camera or lens to prevent decent trannys.
d_purdy
That is an interesing image. Looks like some manipulation going on but very interesting. The Planar is known to give warm results though not outlandishly. I think it is because the coating they used is yellowish as compared to the Xenotar coating is purple/bluish. The Xentoar is known to give colder color images than the Planar. Your image seems to be warm in the sky and blue on the ground. Not sure what is up with that. Maybe you shot late in the day and the sky was actually going quite warm since in Winter the Sun doesn't get up that high anyway and the color is warmed by the atmosphere. Try again with different film. Dennis
mike_earussi1
Seems to have a slight magentish cast to it as well, which can be caused by the film getting too hot before processing.
tito sobrinho
Dennis, lens color coating doesn't affect the final color image. As Ronald said, the culprit was film and or processing as well as what Mike said.
d_purdy
Well now I have heard that is does and it doesn't affect color. Still the Xenotar gives cooler images than the Planar, dennis
