www.highschoolsports.net & feedback on my pix

Hi! I recently wrote asking about maxpreps.

I'm no longer going to even attempt to participate in maxpreps.

What do you think about highschoolsports.net?

Does anyone participate in it?

It looks like a person has different options to participate in it - total pro,

pro without an online processor, enthusiast or fan/parent.

If you click on my name, you can see a couple of my shots from last year.

What do you think? Should I sell pictures this way?

I'm shooting with a Canon Digital Rebel XT & mostly 50mm in the gym.

I do use a flash though. (Allowed so far, as far as I know!)

I always appreciate any replies and feedback.

THANKS, in advance!

Janice -

I think the biggest thing is to try to get the flash off camera.

On the two that I've looked at both have the shadow from the flash which distracts (IMO) from the action that is happening.

Assuming that the league allows it - Look into a wireless unit such as the pocket wizard and 1-2 good 500 w/s strobes that you can pre-place up in the rafters or bleachers.

I personally don't use maxpreps or highschoolsports.net instead rely on my own site through Photoreflect.com. They keep a percentage of sales, but it's low hassle for me and the parents, and I keep ownership / rights to the photos.
