carmen_loofah
Does anyone have a spare cap cover for the OM2 motor drive connection next to the battery cover. I took it off and cannot put it back on. Thanks!

carmen_loofah
That's a bit pricey John! But thanks...
john_hermanson2
Mine are original equipment, made by Olympus, the ones on ebay (while very, very good) are made by beljan and used to sell for at least that price. Other md cap offers on ebay show a picture of the original metal cap, $7 price (too good to be true) and stick you with a crappy plastic press-fit disc with no practical way of removing. Used metal md caps or free caps are best, but often have broken/weakened tabs. Tabs break off and get jammed in gears or make the long journey up through the camera, coming to rest on the magnet INSIDE the meter housing (which jams the meter). richard_oleson
$16 each is pricey? Try machining one yourself.
james_lai
I bought a chrome md cap from beljanmfg a few years ago for an OM-1n. It was well made and worked fine but the finish didn't quite match. I don't remember what I paid at the time, but I see that beljanmfg currently charges (on *bay) about the same as John. I would go with an original Olympus cap from John. Alternatively, if you think the caps are too pricey and looks are not important, just stick a piece of electrical tape over the hole. glockman99
You COULD buy an Olympus OM Winder II to cover the hole with, adding a nice hand-grip to the camera at the same time. You can find them at a fairly good price at eBay.
