carmen_loofah
I find I have focussing problems with my om10, does anyone else find this and have any solutions? thanks
patrick j dempsey
Focusing problems? Huh? Auto-focus on this camera works buy grabbing the wide ring with the rubber grip on the lens and turning it. When the image is in-focus in the viewfinder it should come out in-focus on the film... if not you have some major problems. If the ring does not move then the lens is siezed up and you can buy another one for cheap. The 50mm f/1.8 is a great lens that goes for almost nothing. john_hermanson2
An OM-10 should be as easy to focus as any OM body. So many OM-10's suffer from severe overexposure though, that this alone may make your results look out of focus. John, www.zuiko.com
carmen_loofah
Thanks John, I find it is hard to see when an image is in the sharpest focus, and I have had my vision checked. It's seems to be a matter of aliging the lines against an edge but this is not always possible...should I just trust my judgment or try hard to work with these lines? carmen_loofah
thanks for your answers Patrick and John. I thought perhaps there might be some kind of focus attachment available...I did not know of the overexposure problem with om10 John...
john_hermanson2
Sounds like you are nearsighted like I am. If you can't see the fine texture of the matte area of the focus screen, it may be hard to focus in general. Or, camera is tampered, focus screen is in upside down, mirror angle is off. Could be anything, but I'd bet you need reading glasses to see the screen better. Can you read a book 2 feet away without squinting? John, www.zuiko.com. carmen_loofah
Thank JOhn, I can indeed...I think I will have to consider auto focus on my next camera...but I do like manual focus...
