michelle_j.
I have been researching the two lens above and can't decide if it's worth saving the money. Do I just get the Simga 70-200mm f2.8 instead of the Canon 70-200mm f2.8? I will be taking lots of indoor hockey pictures for my son's mites league. I know I need a new lens, but which one? Any help would be appreciated.
tim_knight
I have attached a local professional's web page of sport shots he has taken so far this year. He has been doing this for at least three years. He uses the Sigm 70-200 2.8. http://mit.midco.net/prairiestorm/Prairiestorm.html
michelle_j.
Thank you, Tim. I enjoyed looking at his pictures. I hope mine turn out similar to his.
tim_knight
He does have a skill for getting some very good shots. I shoot the same games and I do not get close to what he does.
ericreagan
I struggled with the same decision, but went with the Sigma and have been very pleased with it. Focus speed is plenty fast and it's held up fine over the past couple years.
michelle_j.
Eric - did you use the Sigma for the soccer pictures in your photo gallery?
