I use Holgas and pinholes and other alternative camera techniques, and, within that context, I like the photos that camera produces. The first of the mailbox and the last of the old truck are particularly nice, keeping in mind where I'm coming from on this. I guess that I don't agree with the idea that we use an old simple camera and try to get a stunningly sharp photo. I'm looking for a soft image of a sharp concept that has some emotional feeling. That is exactly why I picked up a yashica some time ago. Boy was I upset when the pics came out stunningly sharp and contrasty. BTW, I'd like your permission to use that quote as my personal motto. Its probably a good thing they kept Lightning storm mode away from sailboat mode... thats a deadly combination. Im curious as to if it also features a "Leica type" film advance and "Leica type" 35mm film cassettes... if so it MIGHT be worth some serious money.
