heavyweather
I'm getting this bizarre problem with my extension tubes I just purchased. I got a 31mm,13mm, and 21mm tube, and using any of them with my Nikon D50 and 50mm f/1.8 AF-D lens, I cannot take a picture as it says "fEE" on my camera. Everything locks nicely into place, but still I get the fEE error. My aperture ring is locked into f/22 like it should be, but even with it unlocked and at 1.8, I still can't take a picture. What's the deal?
screamin scott
Do you have the auto-focus switch set to "manual" & manual on the selector dial?
heavyweather
Yes, I tried with the camera set to both Manual and Autofocus. It's also odd, the 13mm tube is labeled "Manual Focus" and the 31mm tube is labeled "NI/AF", but it shows no sign of being AF.
soeren_engelbrecht1
Turn the mode dial to "M" for manual exposure. Other exposure modes only work if there are electrical contacts in the tubes corresponding tho those on the lens and camera body. Best regards, Soeren
ShunCheung
Your extension tube has no EE Servo Coupling Post. That is why your D50 displays fEE. See the following thread about the Coupling Post: http://www.photo.net/bboard/q-and-a-fetch-msg?msg_id=00LzIz
