Zoos/Wildlife parks near London/Uk

Hi,

 

I live in NE London and have a day off tomorrow. So for a change I would like

to take some animal pictures (lions and so on not badgers...) and I was

wondering which one is the best zoo or safari park for doing so.

 

So far I thought I go to Colchester zoo which is not too far but I believe

there are also some other parks north of London.

 

Any suggestions? Any better ones than Colchester?

Colchester is quite good. Whipsnade near Dunstable is an extension of London Zoo in Regents Park and aims to keep the animals un habitats as close as possible to their natural ones. Woburn is a bit further away.

Whipsnade is good. Or for a longish day out, there is the Cotswold wildlife Park at Burford.
