henry_ham1
Can you develop APS in a darkroom? And if the roll had already been developed, can you take it to a darkroom toenlarge?
randrew1
Yes, it is possible, but there are a few quirks. 1. You will need to learn how to open a cartridge in the dark. It is easy of you have a cartridge opening tool. It is a little tougher with a small screw driver or ball point pen, but still possible. Start by practicing on developed film in the light. First you open the door and then wind the spindle until the film starts coming out. 2. Photo labs detach the film from the cartridge and then re-attach after processing and printing. Detaching is easy (scissors) but re-attaching requires some special equipment. There is no reason why you have to re-attach the film to the cartridge, but it is best not to cut a roll into short strips. You can't read the magnetic information unless you have a full roll. 3. Do you have a 24 mm reel for your developing tank? I don't either. You can always process in a tray by holding each end of the film and running it back and forth through the soup. 4. Do you have a 24 mm negative holder? You can always apply some black plastic tape to a 35 mm holder to achieve the effect you want. 5. You can probably get by with a 50 mm enlarger lens, but a 35 mm lens would be easier. If you decide to go through with this, let us know how it works out.
