manuel_odabashian
As i got this free with my lexar compactflash card i thought i'd try to make use of it. When opened up my raw files all i got was mostly darkness with the image on top. The only files that came up true were those saved as a psd file. Why is this? Rob_L1664876404
Manuel, PSP 9 was released in August of 2004. Corel PSP Photo is now at version XI (11). I doubt seriously that PSP 9 has the ability to read newer raw formats.
gdw
Manuel, RAW formats are proprietary to the camera manufacturer and even to the specific camera model. Each one is different and really for best results requires a software that is designed for that specific camera. PSP 10 will open RAW files from my Minolta but will not open files from my Nikon. I am surprised that PSP 9 will even open any RAW file. Even though PSP 10 will open the Minolta RAW files the adjustments available are below par compared to a dedicated RAW software. I use RawShooter Essentials (which was a free program) for the Minolta and Capture NX for the Nikon RAW files. PSP 9 has some great features, just not for working with RAW files. All of the photographs in my portfolios were corrected, manipulated or converted in PSP from versions 7 through 10.
