excuse the oversharpening; this is an unsharpened image but flickr applies a fairly aggressive sharpening when it down-rezes. the only image that stays as you uploaded it is the original size and that was too large in this case. 90mm elmarit, delta 100.

First, that's a good photo.

 

Second, you can display your larger (and less sharpened) flickr version here, if you want to, by linking it via html, typing the following:

 

1. <center><img src="exact url of your photo here"></center>

 

2. Select "HTML" from the drop-down menu before you "Submit"

 

3. This takes you to a preview, which, assuming all is well, you "Confirm."

 

In the case of flickr, as you know, that site actually furnishes all the html for you, so step 1 above is really easy. The 511 width limitation applies only to photos uploaded from your hard drive. Linked photos can be wider -- and like mine, often are wider -- but should still be reasonable in dimensions (so viewers don't need to scroll, etc.) and overall file size should be kept to approx 100k, to keep things moving along.
