arun_nimmala
Hi All I am a beginner to digital photography. I am having a Canon 30D. Is there any place where I can download some video tutorials for understanding the various functions of Canon 30D and how to use different functions of the camera. I am looking for some kind of shareware or free downloads. I appreciate your input. Thank you -A
will king
My 20D and 5D came with a manual. I guess Canon's not sending manuals with 30Ds.

sheryl_bury_michals
I had a manual with my 30D, which I've referred to on many an occasion. But the video may be helpful - I may check it out as well. Sheryl

digitmstr
If you are new to *digital* photography but, have been taking pictures with a film SLR there will be no difference in the way you meter and shoot. If you are new to the EOS system you'll get to know it in due time (no shortcuts there). It's a well design system and rather intuitive for the most part. If you are new to EVERYTHING (i.e. photography, EOS cameras and digital imaging) then, there will be at least three books for you: 1) A general book on photography. 2) a general book on digital imaging. 3) a book abou the EOS camera you have. There is no FREE ride there I am afraid. You'll have to buy the books (or borrow them from a friend). It will be worth it in the long run. But, again...no shortcuts exists for learning. It's up to you and how fast you understand and assimilate the subject(s).
