Need some white balance help

Got this odd cast on a few images under flouresant.

 

I was in and out of the room, into a sunlit hallway and then in to the

tungsten lit church, and back... several times.

 

So I figured... AWB and I adjust it later.

 

My limited post processing skills have left me stumped.<div></div>

Camera is a 5D and I was overkilling it at 1600ISO

I hate bloody flourescents, you can never get it look natural...

I think the bigger issue is the blown exposure. White balance can always be fixed in post processing. Blown highlights, well that's a different story.<div></div>

Were you shooting at a high ISO? That can do really bad things to your color.

 

My best advice is go b&w.

Fast 2 second adj. In a larger jpeg it could look fine. Bon<div></div>

maybe you can blend two exposures? I like the cooler version of her.

 

next time - try to gel your flash and shoot with a flash, or just use side bounced flash to overpower the fluorescent.

 

I hate shooting under fluorescent lights.

Multiply a layer and overlay a layer reducing the opacity as you like. I personaly like white

whites and dark blacks even if it blows out in certain areas.

This is adjusted with a soft light layer, a multiply layer, an warming filter layer and a levels layer with a slight hue change.<div></div>

Ben Rubenstein had a similar post a while back. They were talking about it having to do with High ISO, slower shutter speed, and something to do with a band of light coming from the florescent lights. Search his post, there was some good info there. It sounds like the same problem.

see if using the desaturation tool in photoshop on the yellow/green areas is enough to minimize the discolored area ... takes a few seconds.

 

Then you can add a wee touch of red to the lips using the saturation tool and you're done with a quick simple fix ... as in all photoshop techniques this one may not fit your needs but it certainly can fix this one image.

My quick try.. I have to agree wiith will about blown highlights.<div></div>

Although blown highlights are techinically bad, they work for me in this image... although I

would bring it all down a little to look like the last example.
