machts gut
Hello Ben, welcome in our club and enjoy your new hobby. I've never heard of a Minolta OM1. I know an Olympus OM1 or a Minolta XG-1 or XE-1. Maybe you take a closer look on your cam. Olympus or Minolta - cheap, fast and good tele lenses are the numerous 135mm lenses you'll find at ebay. The original lenses of your camera manufacturer are usually excellent and not expensive anymore, but you can also take an old Vivitar/Soligor/Tokina/Tamron... lenses. This does not generally aply for zoom lenses, but for primes. Stefan
roger_kallet
Hi Ben, For used photo gear also look at KEH. http://www.keh.com/onlinestore/home.aspx --Roger
bob_gentile
Not sure whether your SLR is a Minolta or an OM1, but both Minolta and Olympus made excellent lenses. With the price of these lenses today, there's no longer any reason to buy off-brand stuff. It's just not "worth it" anymore. I agree with Roger about KEH. They're very conservative in their ratings. What they call "Bgn" others call "Ex" so I usually try to get their "Bgn" stuff.
