shadowfox
I'm so glad that this is not another digital camera. I think Fuji knows their market well, I've several Japanese photographers who attested what someone here said earlier: Japanese consumers *and* photogs are not digital crazy like we are here in the US (no single photography magazine still have film camera in front cover, isn't that sad?). Therefore, available only in Japan...! I can't wait to see the pictures that this one can produce.
raymond_tai
If you want a high end film p&s you can choose from an array of second hand Nikons, Contax, and Leicas and for a lot less than $700. I am actually disappointed it is not digital. How about a large sensor high quality fixed focal length digital p&s to compete with the GR-D? Panasonic got right with the digilux 2 but instead of a large bulky zoom just slap on a 35/2 equivalent.
vincenzo_maielli
Hi, Chris. I enjoy very mutch for a new film camera. I hope that Minox resume the production of the 35 GTE/GTS, following the Fujifilm example. I own both the Minox 35 GTE and Leica CM, as top film compact cameras. Ciao. zenzanon
One buys a $700 film P&S because it will surely make higher quality images than any $700 digital P&S. Or any $700 digital anything, for that matter.
