johndc
Does anyone know if you can adjust the vertical offset of the rangefinder on this camera? Mine doesn't line up properly and I'd like to fix it. Thanks.
pico
John, there is (or was when I was a member) an excellent Omega listserv. A few of the members have made rangefinder repairs, and one had a full-time repair business. bill_barton
There are two ways to adjust it, really just one the difference is if you remove the top or not. However you can gain acess to the adjustment screw by looking at the top of the camera andon the flash shoe that is over on the right when looking at the camera as if you are going to be taking a picture. There is a metal cover on top of the shoe, take a small screw driver and it should slip backwards and you can remove it. With it out of the way you will see a small hole, that is right above the vertical adjustment screw for the RF it's best to have the camera on a tripod. It takes a small flat blade screw driver that will fit it just be careful and do not use alot of force. NOTE you are not removing the shoe just the metal cover in the center of the shoe... If any questions send me a e-mail... Not difficult but you must use this info at your own risk like always..... wbill
bill_barton
One other warning, where the adjustment screw is on the base of one of the RF prism's, makes sense but don't go banging the screw driver around
