robbie_caswell
This week is like vacation for me. My real job is slow and time aplenty. I get to shoot highly touted high school prospects for my newspaper. Everyone from Kobe, Garnett, Kidd, and several others have played here. Shot several great images over five days, but this is my favorite! Junior blue chip prospect Delvon Roe has led his team from a double digit halftime deficit, and he steals the ball. You could feel it, that it was going to be an explaation point moment! I had already prefocused the 35mm f/1.4L on the rim and switched it to manual focus. As the play unfolds I grab the camera, vertically orientate the body, pressed it against the floor and rip off three or four images. Love it when a plan comes together! Thinking in the future of devising a bracket. Look at the reflection on the floor. Another inch and I would have had the dunk reflected on the floor as well.<div></div>
