Anyone using an M8 with a current 35mm Summilux

Recommended Posts

My understanding is that, due to the crop factor, the 35mm Summilux would lose some of its wide angle features and produce more 50mm lens-like images. Other than that it should work fine. That's too bad. 35mm Summilux is a very nice wide angle lens.

I took a bunch of shots with this lens on the M8 last night. Excellent balance and feel on the camera; very good performance in extremely dim light at ISO 640. Smooth handling and very unobtrusive. About the same field of view as a 50 on a film M, so good for shots of 2 or 3 people in a crowd or party setting, where you're about 10 to 15 feet away.
