swann_kim
Hi, every one, After I bought this little minilux, I realized that lots of people suffer from E02 error. Maybe the only prevention of this problem is to cap the lens and keep the minilux on all the time. Is it a good idea? Then, where can I get the cap? Thank you, Swann
httpphoto.netsharedco
Camera Quest has 36mm Leica lens caps. These are reproduction Leitz caps. The 36mm will fit over/on the extended Minilux 40mmf2.4 lens. Just remember to take the cap off before you turn the camera off and retract the lens or you will surely loose it. httpphoto.netsharedco
I just checked on the CameraQuest Site and the cap is designated as the A36 Push on Cap
steve_unsworth1
I could be wrong, but I seem to remember that the Minilux retracts the lens and switches itself off after a certain period of inactivity.
canfred
Hi Swann , good thinking but wrong in this case. The EO2 error is a failure of the shutter mechanism not the lens focus drive. Also worth to mention is repair of a this condition does not prevent reaccurance. We have the camera, now on the shelf with the EO2.
david j.lee
actually i think it's a good idea. when i am using my minilux i just leave it on. after a while the camera shuts down, but the lens stays out. a better idea ( 75.00 u.s. idea ) is the custom shade for the minilux.
