10.5 fisheye

Since the 10.5mm fisheye is a DX lens, I assume we are talking about using that fisheye on a Nikon DSLR here. Keep in mind that fisheyes for the full 35mm frame are no longer fisheyes on those DSLRs, so your choices are pretty limited.

The 10.5mm DX fisheye is $590 new; it is not THAT expensive or I wouldn't have bought one given its limited use. Since it is a fairly specialized lens with limited applications, I would say think about it thoroughly whether this person really wants one. If so, save up for the 10.5 DX.

More like "relatively" inexpensive. I've always wanted a fisheye, so after I got my D50, I bought one. I still consider it expensive though. Photography equipment in general is expensive. If you're a pro and making money with your equipment, your view will obviously be different.

Didn't know the 10.5 was that inexpensive! I thought they were around or over $900. Any suggestions where to get it at this price? He has an S2 (Fuji).

Those are really cool looking 8mm photos and also the convention photos! Think I will ask Santa (my wife) for one too! I have the 12-24 which is a really nice glass, but I really dig that true fisheye look!

Thank you all for your help and sharing the pics! Regards, bob
