jay ott
Write to National Geographic, and they will forward it to his home address, which I have but don't have his permission to give it out.
Alternatively, write to Santa Fe Workshops c/o Sam Abell.

john_mitchell3
Max: Sam lives here in the Charlottesville, Virginia, area, as do National Geographic photographers Michael "Nick" Nichols and William Albert Allard. I have no contact information for Sam. In view of your interest in Sam's work, you might want to check out the first (and hopefully, annual) Festival of the Photograph to be held in Charlottesville June 7-9. See www.festivalofthephotograph.org. (Charlottesville already hosts the Virginia Festival of the Book and the Virginia Film Festival each year.) Nick Nichols is one of the principal organizers of the Festival. The plan is to feature the work of three photographers each year. This year the three are: Allard, Eugene Richards, and Sally Mann. You'll note that Sam will be making a presentation, "Stories," during the "Works" program on the final evening of the Festival. John
