jeff_plomley1
Well, I guess this is the start. Try as I might I could not find information on the Pradovit RT-m, although it looks as though the RT-s is still being manufactured. Hopefully this was just an oversite.... karl_georg_wolf
Unfortunately no, no oversight. LEICA- projectors are out of production, AFAIK. The stock is being sold out. Another digital shadow ... Best
tim_bedsted
Karl, Do you know this for a fact and does it affect the entire range of projectors?? Regards, Tim
john_graham3
Leica announced some time ago (2 years maybe)they were discontinuing all slide projectors. This came quite a while after they discontinued the last of their enlargers. It will come as no surprise when they announce that film bodies will be available as pre-paid ala carte only, until they run out of parts and then that will be discontinued too. But all these items will be eternally available used, and probably Leica will (unlike other brands)keep on repairing them as long as parts hold out. jeff_plomley1
These are indeed sad times. I will now cherish my RT-m even more and hope it lasts long enough to project my Velvia chromes to my grandchildren who will probably grow up not knowing the value of film and what used to be the art of photography. I suspect the future of photography will be wrought with Nokia digital capture while talking to your best friend, listening with one ear while blasting the latest iTunes download in the other. What the hell is this world coming to....
john_graham3
Funny, my doctor said something like that just last week. After he listened to my heart he lit up a cigarette and said "John," he said coughing, "your heartbeat sounds a little slow, I want you to stop that morning 5-mile run, and no exertion for the next six weeks. You look a little gaunt too John, so make sure you eat plenty of steak and have a good breakfast of three eggs every day." "How about a stress-test and an ultrasound?" I asked. "Naah, have you seen those machines? All plastic. And if the power goes out, they're paperweights!".
