davekcj
I don't know how long it will be up there, but espn.com has as it's main picture Wayne Gretzky and someone has their EOS rig about 6 inches away from his face. He doesn't look to happy to see such a nice camera & L lens...
jcolwell
I think the Wayner is actually caught mid-phrase as he says "whoa, nice lens".

jon_austin
Looks like a 24-105.
timcorridan
obviously the photographer is attempting the ole' flash bounce trick. flash bounce off gretzky's forehead, then bounce back off photographers forehead, then back again, diffused, to gretzky's face. this technich works best when the photographer is albino, of course. j_robinson2
I sure wouldn't blame Gretzky if he shoved the camera down the guys throat. Getting that close would sure bother me.
suman
He was not looking happy coz the lens was not white.
vandit
"He was not looking happy coz the lens was not white." I am sure in these multi-cultural days, black and white lenses can coexist in peace... <cue "Cant we all just get along"> Flippantly, Vandit
ronald_smith2
Wayne is still pissed about people trying to tie him into the gambling issue with Rick Tocchet.
andrew_c2
Wayne's just a little grumpy because his defense corps has been soooo depleted! And he wishes he had that L lens right now! Andre, from Toronto
skip hansen
I agree with Vandit, at least it's an L series lens! Maybe the photog is working on a celebrity nose hair portfolio.
marcin harla
Looks like a 24-105.
Look at the lens hood. It's either 16-35 f/2.8 (most likely) or 17-40 f/4 (doubt it - too slow for photojournalist)
