frank_rua
I've finally decided to go digital. The 20D EOS is my first choice.Has anyone ordered online from "express camera" ? I'm new to photonet but it is one of the companies endorsed within the 20D camera review.$999.00 for the body seems like a pretty good deal.Any input, thoughts, etc... Thanks, Frank

matheww
Beware of what they call "Upgrading" I found out the hard way, due to inexperience, that they will sell you on a what they call a "better" package then what you are looking for. Memory cards, battery chargers, lenses, warranty ect. (mainly cheap items) I learned the hard way, I wish I would have posted a question like this one back then, but my loss is your gain. I now strictly use B&H, love the service and the products. To not completely "bash" express camera, I did receive what I paid for. My EOS 300 still works great and havent had any problems with the other items that came with my "kit". Just make sure what you buy, is what you want. Hope this helps. delwyn_ching
It's a scam, DON'T GO FOR IT! The going price is about $1,190 and that's considered the cheapest. Use B&H or Adorama. conraderb
Umm...good luck, but I would say be prepared for a major headache. The 'Chinese' version of the 20D might go for that, but it will be just the body with no accessories, no battery, no warranty... B&H Photo Video is often considered amount the lowest price. If you find anything more than $150 lower than B&H, I would be very suspicious.
leon chang
Yep, that's right Conrad.
skip hansen
I agree...stick with B&H. Also, these so-called kits may not always give you anything near the extra value they purport. Just check the individual prices for lenses first. Some kits actually put L series lenses with them...make sure you're not paying a fortune extra for "junk" accessories not worth the extra money, ie, lenses cleaning kits, crappy tripods, etc. Good luck...welcome aboard the digital train. You can't go wrong with a 20D at this point in time...priced right around $1190. I have one and just upgraded to L lenses after a year or so with entry level stuff, most of which worked well for what I needed.
savas_kyprianides
Some of these tricks are legendary. Years ago, I got a Nikon point and shoot film camera that came with the case, but the seller had the case out of the box and sold it to me separately for more. William Kahn
Express Camera? Be afraid. Be very afraid....
lightwriting by swapan
I do not understand one thing. Why on earth do you believe that someone can sell something at an unearthly low price ? That is a big, big red flag and you dont need to waste one more second on that ! How would B and H be in business if express camera have this price ? Just think. It is a no brainer. Once again, something that has been said one million times and still valuable, - "if it is too good to be true, it ain't true". Stick to B and H. You will never repent. Just my 2 cents. sheldonnalos
Go to B&H Photo, search for psjan in the main search box. It will bring up a 20D Body for $1149. Also it will bring up a 17-40mm f/4 L for $629. Buy them both, they're a great combo and those are great prices.
skip hansen
Hey Swapan...take a pill! Why would anyone berate someone for asking an honest question? Why would you waste your time typing a response? It's a wonder why any newbies at all join in on these forums with responses like that! Get a life. peter_martucci
don't buy it for a couple weeks...PMA is right around the corner and a new successor to the 20D may be introduced!
lightwriting by swapan
Hi Skip, I think you need to take some Xanax and chill out man ! I was never berating him or his question. I was giving a stern, general wwarning to a fellow photog who may become a victim of internet mugging . Why did you type a response ? To yell at me ? How did it help the person asking the question ?
