lee hamiel
Perhaps we could do a mockumentary & call it "Mr. Littman's Opus" My attempt :)
davidv1
I've seen this same argument crop up here a couple of times. Littman's bluffing about the lawsuits. He's just trying to bully people into submission. If he wasn't, there's a couple of guys who'd have been served with subpoenas by now. But since he doesn't have a legal leg to stand on, he just keeps on making threats. Men of action don't talk, they act. They certainly don't blather endlessly on public forums. He's quit the forum before; he'll be back. Sorry 'bout that. Personally, I'm not sold on the whole idea of handheld 4x5. Sure it's cool, but is there a tangible benefit? I figure that if you're not gonna use a tripod for large format, you might as well be using medium format. I'd bet dinner and drinks that my Koni-Omega in 6x7 would give better results handheld than a Ysaron on 4x5. Anybody wanna try it?
camera_conjurer
And by the way.
What's all this fuss about 'hand held' 4x5 ?
Ever hear of the Speed Graphic or Graflex or Pressman cameras ?
Those are all 'hand held' 4x5 cameras.
Every photo you saw in the newspapers before WWII was 'hand held' 4x5.
I'd like to see someone take a medium format camera out in the field all day and then go to the studio and use their non-existant camera movements to correct for perspective.
