raulito
Hi, I have a Horseman VH field camera, which came with 90mm HORSEMAN Super ER f/5.6 lens with Seiko-SLV mechanism. I tried to find in the Net info (reviews, quality, price) on this lens, but in vain: nothing about it! :( Do you guys know something about this lens or could you refer me to any useful links? Any good price guide links? Thank you for your time and attention. Zura<div></div>
abrepsom1
Hello Zura, This is not exactly what you are looking for, but it might be worth taking a look anyway: http://martyfoto.kbx.cz/horseman/horsemanVHR1.html I have never used the 90 mm ER on my VH, but the Horseman 7/65 mm was a decent lens. Best wishes
paul.droluk
The Super means it covers 4x5 (barely), the ER means it is multicoated. As a whole the Super ER series of Horseman lenses were pretty good for their day (I have the 75, 105 and 120), but don't compare to currently produced LF lenses. That being said, currently produced 90mm lenses are 3-4 times as large. BTW I used to have the 90 Super ER but traded up to a 100 mm APO Symmar which was only slightly less wide and a far better performer.
haris_ashraf
I bought a similar lens for $299 from Midwest Camera Exchange in the US. The lens was Excellent+ shape. later I bought some more Horseman Lenses from KEH for around the same price. I dropped it on my garage floor the first time I mounted it on the camera so I could not tell you what is the quality. Haris
