Broken 20D Battery Door

the door to my 20d broke. well, spring popped out and seems plastic

threads broke. can i get it fixed at adorama in new york, where i

bought it...or do i need to contact canon support to get it

fixed...it�s within a year of purchase. thanks for the help!

my door broke on my old 300d. It has the same detatchable lever bolt action hinge thing. I

called canon, and ordered the part. It was a whopping $12 dollars. the 20d might be

different, but I would call canon and see.

buy the batterygrip, and you wont need the door !

second the grip. If you buy the grip you won't need the door and you can use 2 batteries.

Yeah, the grip is relatively cheap, although the one for the 20D looks like 'bigfoot', compared to the one for the Rebel.

 

In any event, after you get the grip, get the hand strap, which needs the anchor on the bottom of the grip for attachment.

 

Once you use the handstrap, you'll wonder how you ever managed without it.
