matt_wilkinson
Hi, I bought a popular brownie 620 camera (with original film still inside) from ebay a few weeks ago. Here is the link: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ViewItem&item=7562539546&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1 I was wondering if anybody knew whether the film would be in colour or black & white as we cannot get it developed until we know this. Any help would really be very much appreciated! The film is a Kodak verichrome pan 620, as shown in the picture on the ebay link. Many thanks, Matt

hakon_soreide
Any film with "pan" in it tends to be Black & White - at least nowadays - from the term panchromatic, distinguishing them from orthochromatic films which are only sensitive to parts of the spectrum. <p> Of course, history might have seen exceptions to this, and the "verichrome" term = "true colour" makes it sound like a colour emulsion. Perhaps someone has the lowdown on that particular film type.
antonio.giacomo
Verichrome Pan was a 125ASA black and white film. Develop it in D76 (or ID 11) for 7 minutes in the neat developer at 20C/68F or 9 minutes with the developer diluted 1:1. My father showed me how to do that when I was 6.
