Canon profits up.

An 85/1.2 II with faster AF.

A 58/1.2 L to replace the 50/1.0 L.

A 24-135/2.8-4 L (well, OK, 2.8 all the way if they can make it with 82mm or smaller filter size). IS of course...

A 50 Macro that goes to 1:1 all by itself and has USM.

Update all the old primes...24, 28, 35, 50/1.8, 135 SF. Give them all cheap USM and a 58mm filter size.

A 100/2.8 USM Macro with IS.

Is a rectilinear 10 mm lens possible?

I just bought a 24-105, which my wife *insists* on boxing back up, wrapping, and giving to me for Christmas. : )

I may buy a 28/1.8 if I feel the need to fondle more gear; otherwise, I'm all set equipment-wise unless/until Canon produces either the 70-200/4 L IS mentioned earlier, or a sub-$2K successor to the 5D.

I guess my only recourse now is to go out and use the stuff, and try to become a better photographer ...

I'd like to see a fast, wide angle prime, (EF-S would be OK). Something like a 15mm or 17mm f1.8. On a 1.6x crop-factor camera, that would give me an available-light equivalent field of view to a 24mm or 28mm, respectively.

After collecting 28mm f1.8, 50mm f1.8, and 85mm f1.8, it's really the major missing prime in my set for the 20D, and it would match my OM film body 28,50,85,135 counterparts.

I am sure Canon has a well placed marketing strategy that is making them reap the profits. So, are they even considering our suggestions?

What we really need is $500.00 L series lenses. Photography is for everyone and so it should be affordable to anyone. Also, $500 quality ultra wide angle lenses.

A dream lens would be a 10-300mm super quality L lens, which would let me carry only one lense- no more changing lenses.-This for only $2000.00
