Filters for Yashica Mat 124G

Is there any way to use polarizing filters on a Yashica Mat 124g?

I'm wondering whether I can put one on each of the lenses and

somehow place a mark on the filter on the viewing lens and then line

up the filter on the taking lens. Any tricks would be appreciated.

Also, I want to use a warm-up filter with this camera. What size

should I be searching for, or should I use an adapter to be able to

use standard-sized filters?

the size is Bay-I(bayonet I sometimes called bayonet 30).there is an adapter.You can use a polarizer that locks in place or has degree marks(focus on view lens,change to tazking lens,shoot) or try to get a polarizer (made by minolta ?) for tlrs.

Filters.com sells a Bay 1 to 49mm adaptor. I use one all the time on my Yashica D. You could use it with a standard polarizer and check it in the viewing lens. I also use a standard rubber lens hood. Cheap and it works.

I have a Yaschica Mat 124. I use a Rollei B1 bayonet to 46 mm screw converter, then a 46 to 52 mm step up ring, then put a Cokin P series adapter on (I'm sure A-series would do, I just have P). Then I hold the polarising filter up to my eye and rotate it until I get the desired effect. I then drop the filter into the holder without rotating it, compose and take my shot. The filter goes right across the front of the viewwing lens, but I was surprised at how little you notice it.

It may not be perfect, but it suits me fine.
