lancemcvay
A friend of mine just sent me this question, and I have no idea. Has anyone here know anything about this photo?
I have, for the longest time, wanted my own print of a couple of photographs I've seen. My dad claims that it's an Alfred Eisenstaedt work. The first picture is of two middle-aged people lying in beach chairs. The next picture is the same beach chairs, empty, with the wind blowing the cloth out. The juxtaposition makes it look like the chairs catapulted the people out.
So... does anyone know the name of the work, and know the photographer?
Thanks! dick_van_nostrand
The photograph is by Magnum photographer Elliott Erwitt and like many of his images reveals Erwitt's humorous view of the world. My favorite is the sequence of a dog sitting and appearing to listen to Nelson Rockefeller speaking to a group of people. Second and third photos show the dog walking away and then lifting his leg on a nearby fire hydrant while Rockefeller continues to speak.
