markfields
I just bought a 80mm 2.8 used lens from Keh in Atlanta... on the lens it says 80 mm 1: 2.8 N but also in a different area it has a green "C".. just wondered what the C means and if I got the N lens I really paid for. PS I have bought alot of stuff from KEH and they have always been fantastic , usually giving me better equipment than I would have expected than the equipments "rating". many thanks, mark
charles.
Yes you got the lens you paid for. I think that the C just designates it as being from an earlier time, all my mamiya-sekor lenses have the C (N and non-N), but my just plain 'Mamiya' 150/2.8 doesnt though (it has an A which is just white), it must a be a sekor thing. I'm sure someone else can give a more detailed answer, but for the time being you can rest easy about it being the wrong lens.
haris_ashraf
C just means that it is multicoated. All my N lenses for 645 lenses also have a green C. Haris
