aslan_ivo
Film + a light-tight box + a hole = a camera. From there on, its all extras. Anyway compared to a (more expensive) Holga or Diana, it doesn't seem so bad.
phule
I have a similar (crappier?) version to one of those, except it's just called a "Kinetics." No waist-level finder and not powered. Plus, the "color lens" label is peeling off. Mine also feels like they lined the bottom with lead for reasons unknown. I picked it up at a junk shop while on vacation in WA. $3 but no case. I've not had a chance to run any film through it, that's the project for this weekend. :)
walter_degroot
i asked the gal ( young woman- cute) in the salvation store to show me the camera in the cabinet. I asked if it was a REAL camera, she said "i think so" it was a "bentley" with a f/8 lens. it had some weight and heft, about the same as a slr. looks like the time/life or the tv guide givaway model. thanks, but i will stick with my 2 ounce vivitar. it has flash and cost 75 cents. gene m
Oh yeah. The TIME camera. You can't get good shots with a TIME camera, can you ? More useable junk
michael_linn
Based on the shape of the body and the shutter release button, this obviously started out as a Minolta Maxxum project but perhaps the marketing VP heard which way the SLR wind was blowing and canonized the design. Nice photos, once again proving that it's the camera, not the photographer:)
rich_ullsmith1
Aw man, that stuff so beautiful. If that ain't alternative, what is.
john falkenstine
Gene, you got a way with these devices. My local thrift store down the street has a couple of similar cameras, but I don't think I could pull it off when it comes to the image quality you're getting. One of their more interesting ones is on the shelf for 25 cents...
rehor
It's VERY IMPORTANT to have a "COLOR LENS" right? http://www.pacificrimcamera.com/images/8318.jpg going for $ 20.00 smackeroonies at this vendor's site. But what if I have found one that doesn't say "COLOR LENS"?
miztli
I got a similar camera without auto advance and power rewind. It has the same apertures and color lens. It is branded Yunon, perhaps that is the meaning of Auto Y.
miztli
Looking the Time camera posting, Yunon camera is exactly the same as the Time camera.
larrydressler
The bottom of mine broke off to discover that the heft was a piece of rusty cut pig iron. I had another cheapee camera with heft that had cement in the bottom .. broke it open also . LOL Larry
martin_pistor
http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7545778523 For the not-german speaking: This had been advertised as a back-up camera from the (pro) studio of a womens mag. Definitively not the Vogue;-). No words... Martin
