andre_reinders
Prints made from the slides were scanned on a cheap flatbed - don't do the original MF slides ANY justice. :(
william_barnett_lewis
I like "Donkey + Daughter" and that's hard light to get to play nice. Thank you. William

bill_winters
Andre -- Beautiful work! Last Saturday I was up near Heritage Park (I only passed the park). I wanted to take a look at the Weasel Head Flats. It was actually my first visit to the flats. I think it is a shame that a piece of the to-be ring road is to fall through this wonderful natural area. Oh well, the price of progress in a growing city. At least I managed to get a few shots of the setting sun on my Canonet QL17.
grahams
Andre' - lovely shots, great colours. Did you polarise? On a M/flex?Those skies are to die for!
sliu
Shooting slide with sunny 16 rule! Now I find someone as crazy as me ;-) I like the last shot. You never know what you would catch till the last second.
mike_elek
That film appears to be so saturated that it blazed a hole through my retina (not Retina).
andre_reinders
Thanks for the positive comments everyone! I am pretty happy with the film - just wanted to try slides, and this was slightly expired and on sale - works for me! I think I got about 5 rolls - $2.99 ea. CAD. There was no filter at all on the lens - all using the 80mm 'chrome' naked. - I consider myself 'lazy' not 'crazy' to use the sunny 16 rule. (maybe I AM crazy to do this) I can't be bothered to constantly fiddle with the light meter and the camera. I will admit that the Shell Gas shot was metered. In my mind the sunny 16 rule is the ultimate 'incident' light meter - same reading regardless of the subject. ;) My brain works like this - Sunny 16 on ISO 100 = 1/125 @ f16....BUT I want to handhold so I better use a faster shutter to make sure I get sharp shots = 1/250 @ f11....BUT you never know what slight shadows there might be, maybe I should put on a little insurance (1 stop) = 1/250 @ f8. I believe this is where I 'stuck' the shutter and aperature that day.
bliorg
I think the little boy running into frame makes that last shot...
