Elements 3 file storage question

Elements 3 promos talk about the file management system. "All of

your images in one place." (Or some such...)

 

I don't want all of my images in one place. I want to be able to

store them in my folders according to clients, family, topics (fly

fishing, business clients, consulting projects, recreation etc etc.)

Will Elements 3 allow me to over-ride the dedicated Elements 3

filing system so I can place images where I want them? I assume so,

but want to know for sure.

If I understand you correctly the answer is yes, you maintain your files structure on the hard drive as you want. What Elements Organizer does is import a "pointer" and thumnail of your file to organize and keyword as you wish. Your hard drive remains the same. One caution is that you should not MOVE files directly in the hard drive. You should move files from within the organizer or your photo will disconnect from the pointer. HTH

Thanks John. I do a lot of moving within Explore, so will have to learn to do that within E3. Clive
