david_bedell
Well, "adventures" may be a bit strong. But these photographs were taken in the last couple of weeks with a Spotmatic (and 50mm f/1.4 Super Takumar).

Pepsi Sculpture Garden, Purchase, NY

same m>same

Wild hair at the coffee shop

Cows at Stone Barns, Pocantico Hills, NY

Swings at the local park

same

Frog at Hammond House Museum & Gardens, Salem, NY

Hammond House

summitar
Very nicely done. It is always a joy to see the results from the cameras of yesteryear. The Spotmatics have been underrepresented, in my estimation. Thanks for sharing.
jeffpolaski
My Spotmatic was stolen, alas. But,

grahams
Wild Hair and Hammond House are terrific and should sell well to stock libraries. Bravo David.

jerevan
Really like the last, Hammond House. The smiling face of Wild Hair is very nice too! Makes me wanna take the Spotmatic out for a spin. Jeff - like the street pic, with the Ford Taunus - one of my fave cars all time... Dad used to have lots of them when I was a kid.
david_bedell
Thanks for the kind words! I've been shooting a lot with a digital SLR lately and it was nice to get back to a manual camera.
Here's a larger version of the Hammond House photo. I think it looks much better in a large "print", as you can see how I used depth of field better. That said, the scan is a cheap drugstore scan, and looks terrible. I'm going to do my own soon... stephen_kruft
Good photos, especially the last. I have used Spotmatics (or an ES or SV) since they were new and still sometimes do. They and their lenses are as good as any other camera and as nice as any other to hold and adjust. I think their only poor qualities are the screw mount and, today, the lack of batteries.
