esq.jack
I know I know, somebody mentioned the wonderful experience with Bill before. I am here just to endorse such. Talkative and informative Bill, a truly sincere business man on the internet. Pity that he still doesn't have a website of his own so please find the most up- to-date contact: 1-770-939-6644 maxwellprecisionoptics@toast.net or maxwellprecisionoptics@yahoo.com The screen is rather dear to me but I love my 3.5F Rollei even more after installation. I don't feel regret. Call/email him and you will learn a lot more. Be careful with the distant call charge... Bill, you are wonderful.
jaime_font1
I have also had a wonderful experience with bill. I own two of his screens for my roleiflex FW. Unfortunately, my TLR is a wide angle, and slow (4.0) so focusing with that camera is really difficult fo me. I have tried everything in the market including the expensive HI-D screen wich comes with the camera. Bill's screen are the best i've tried but not enough for this camera (or this guy wearing glasses). There is not an apreciable enough difference of focus moving the focus knob but then there really is when i print (i print large, and shoot always close to wide open). Those screens would work wonderfully with every F series camera (faster and longer focal, so more easy to discern focus)except for the FW (mine, the wide angle 50mm). So nowadays i use the camera less and less (i much prefer my Leica) because of that focus errors that are really evident when shooting without all the precautions (this camera maybe is not suited or reportage style shooting, maybe a more relaxed style). A pity, it's such a excepcional piece of lens... I have decided to sell my two Maxwell screens to anyone interesrted and keep the original Rollei. They are a HI-LUX plain matte screen with grid lines (used for six months) and a Brilliant matte screen with a 5mm microprism spot (new, only tried one roll). If anyone interested, let me know. nico_.
J Wong: As much as Bill Maxwell will like your advertisement for him, he will hate you for posting his email addresses in clear type. Websites like this are being harvested by spammers for addresses. Writing them out in full is like saying "please spam this account".
Aoresteen
I love my Maxwell screens! I have one in my Rollei 4x4 Grey and in my Hasselblad 500C. Turns them into new cameras! Best thing I did for my aging eyes!
douglas_green1
I will also wholeheartedly endorse the Maxwell screens. I have a HiLuxe screen in both my Rollei 2.8E and my Yashica Mat-124. It makes all the difference in the world as far as actually using these cameras.
