rachelle_m.
Hi all, I went to take some pictures of sunflowers yesterday and noticed that the focusing lever on my Autocord is not working properly. It only seems to focus in the last half of its swing across the focusing area. The first half does nothing -- although the lever moves, the focusing mechanism does not. Has anyone had this happen to them? Is it repairable? I really love this camera -- although I am looking for a replacement, I'd like to salvage it if possible. I'm in the Toronto area and would like to know if anyone can recommend anybody in the GTA/Ontario/Canadian area who does repairs on TLRs. I'm sure I've seen something posted on photo.net before, but I can't seem to find it. Cheers.
pavelp
While not exactly in your area, I would try Paul Ebel. Paul Ebel, S200 Glade Ave., Box 86, Spring Valley, Wisconsin 54767, Telephone (715) 778-4372 Give him a call first and see what he thinks about the problem. stwrtertbsratbs5
Ross Yerkes serviced my CDS III, but he delivers hate literature with each camera service. Not recommended because I find his views offensive. His work, however, was fine. Robert
pavelp
Mark Hama also works on Autocords. I think he's more expensive than Paul Ebel, but anyway: http://www.markhama.com
thomas_diekwisch1
A second for Paul Ebel. He repaired my focusing lever very nicely. He installs Maxwell screens as an option. You think your camera will be new when you get it back.

rick_sikora
Paul Ebel CLA my autocord and Mamiya C330 and a new Maxwell screen for my C220. Great work and reasonable prices. Rick
pavelp
Do you need to provide your own Maxwell screen or can Mr. Ebel get it for you? I read that it's somewhat difficult to get screen from Mr. Maxwell in a timely manner, so I wonder if Mr. Ebel has better luck in getting the screens. douglas_green1
Paul Ebel did a CLA for my Rollei 2.8C and he supplied & installed the Maxwell Screen, becuase he had one in stock. It all depends on whether he has one around that fits your camera. BTW, I also endorse his work highly.
